JOHANNESBURG – A police officer in the Nathaniel Julies murder case was posted on R10,000 bail on Friday.
It was Voster Netshiongolo’s second approach to court after he and his two co-defendants were previously denied bail.
Judge David Mhango rendered judgment, saying: “Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that applicant number three has presented a case on his new adjudicable facts.”
Police officers Scorpion Ndyalvane and Caylene Whiteboy are accused of killing the 16-year-old boy with down syndrome in August and then trying to cover it up.

Netshiongolo has been charged with being an accessory to murder. The state believes he was called to the scene after Julies was killed and the scene rigged.
His lawyers argued that his charges did not justify his being denied bail.
But the court questioned whether it will ever alter the evidence as it did the first time.
