Table Mountain National Park and ‘Working on Fire’ are assisting with firefighting efforts.

CAPE TOWN – On Thursday afternoon, Cape Town firefighters battled a fire on the slopes of the mountains near Camps Bay.
The fire was raging between Bakovern and Camps Bay, on Victoria Road.

Cape Town City Fire Spokesman Jermaine Carelse said: “There are currently approximately eight fire extinguishers with a total of 45 personnel on the scene. Two helicopters are also bombarding the area with water pumps. No property is in danger at this stage. ”
