Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth lost his cool with a Toulon teammate as he prepared for their European Cup clash against the Sale Sharks at Stade Mayol last weekend.
Video footage has emerged showing Etzebeth making an exception to Toulon’s grip on the flank that Julien Ory had on his shirt while completing a maul exercise.
It wasn’t the best of the afternoons for the World Cup winner either, as he was injured during the match after landing awkwardly in an inning.
After being treated in the field, medical personnel helped the beefy padlock out of the field and underwent a head injury evaluation (HIA), which failed.
Toulon won the match 26-14.
