JOHANNESBURG – As the African National Congress (ANC) integrity commission calls for Ace Magashule to step aside, the party said he will remain secretary general and continue his work.
Spokesman Pule Mabe addressed the media on Tuesday afternoon, reacting to the commission’s report calling on Magashule to withdraw with immediate effect.
Magashule, who is free on bail, faces charges related to corruption, fraud and money laundering stemming from his tenure as prime minister of the Free State.
Mabe said the ANC will deal with the report when it is formally presented.
