The Labor Appeal Court has rejected the request from public sector unions seeking to force the government to implement wage increases for this year.

JOHANNESBURG – The Labor Appeal Court dismissed the request from public sector unions seeking to force the government to implement wage increases for this year.

The court ruled that clause 3.3 relating to the CPI plus increases of 1% for 2020 was illegal.
