“The management follows the meetings [on]On Sunday, December 13, 2020, the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC), the President’s Coordinating Council (PCC) and a special session of the Cabinet, “the statement read.

Last week, Health Minister Zweli Mkhize confirmed that South Africa was experiencing a second wave of coronavirus infections. Some provinces are already concerned about the growing number of COVID-19 cases as the Christmas season begins.

Ramaphosa, during his last speech to the nation, declared three areas, two in the Eastern Cape and one in the Western Cape, as hotspots. Now more areas are expected to join the list.
