Liverpool forward Diogo Jota will be out for two months after sustaining a knee injury in the tie with Midtjylland.
That’s according to the Portuguese newspaper Record, which says the forward’s knee injury will see him spend a significant period on the sidelines.
Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp confirmed that Jota would miss the clash with Fulham this weekend after injuring himself in the middle of the week.
Reports in England indicated that the Reds were reluctant to set a time scale for their absence, rather than waiting for the swelling caused by the injury to subside before discovering its severity.

Record, however, they say they have learned that Jota ‘be away from the field’ over a period of two months, suggesting that the damage is severe.
O Jogo backs that up a bit by stating that while the full extent of the injury is still unknown, it is ‘generate apprehension’ in Liverpool.
However, they do not state whether this is their information or simply their interpretation of the England reports.
Either way, the injury comes at a bad time for the Reds, whose absentee list continues to grow at possibly the worst possible time.
