The Bafana star Bafana passed away less than a month after his former Masandawana teammate Anele Ngcongca also passed away on the road.

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Motjeka Madisha was killed in a car accident in the East Rand, Johannesburg, early Sunday morning.

Madisha passed away at age 25 and her death comes two days after her former Downs teammate Anele Ngcongca was buried, and she was also killed in a car accident in Durban on November 23.

“It happened around 02:00 on Zuurfontein Road, Chloorkop with ABC Auto parts. An accident scene of a white BMW … Two occupants of the car were burned and one of them was unrecognizable and they were certified as dead by Ekurhuleni Emergency Services ”, confirmed the police according to the Far Post.

“The car was traveling from Kempton Park to Tembisa. Apparently the driver lost control and the car hit a steel plank displaying a post with the rear end and caught fire. “

Various reports also confirmed the tragic incident, but Sundowns said they will release an official statement “in due course.”

“We have learned of certain media reports about Motjeka Madisha and will make an announcement in due course,” the club said.

The South African Union of Soccer Players and some Premier Soccer League (PSL) clubs sent their condolences.

The accident happened just after Sundowns celebrated its 50th anniversary on Saturday night.

Madisha was a key Downs player this season, appearing in five PSL matches and MTN8’s quarterfinal loss to Bloemfontein Celtic.

He was also part of the Bafana Bafana group.
