The Health Department registered 8,319 new cases in the last day, bringing the number of infections identified to around 845,000 since the outbreak began in March.
Gauteng accounts for the majority of these cases, followed by the Western Cape and then the Eastern Cape.
On the recovery front, more than 758,000 people have recovered so far.
As of today, a total of 845 083 # COVID-19 Cases have been reported with 8,319 new cases identified since the last report.
