Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction to the team’s selection for tonight’s game against Royal Antwerp.
In the reverse game in Belgium, the only previous match between these two teams, a goal from Lior Refaelov gave Antwerp a surprise 1-0 victory over Tottenham.
The defeat prompted José Mourinho to take to Instagram to express his disappointment towards his players and decided to call them in for additional training.
Including the playoffs, the Portuguese has won 14 of his last 16 home matches in the UEFA Cup / Europa League (D1 L1), winning all five Europa League group stage home matches with Man Utd (2017 / 18) and Spurs (2020/21).
Sergio Reguilon and Giovani Lo Celso are the only players to maintain their place in Mourinho’s starting lineup since the team that beat Arsenal on Sunday.
