Marnus Potgieter will win his first Currie Cup start following his selection on the right wing for the Vodacom Bulls against the Sharks on Saturday.
Bulls coach Jake White has made two baseline position changes with David Kriel and Kurt-Lee Arendse returning to fullback and left wing, respectively.
In the first of two group changes, Ruan Nortje returns on the block with Sintu Manjezi covering from the bench. Second is Jacques van Rooyen returning to No. 1 in jumping after serving his week-long suspension for a red card he received against Western Province.
Schalk Erasmus makes a welcome return as the replacement hooker and will make his Bulls debut in the Currie Cup should he take the field. Mornay Smith is also expected to win her first international game of the season as a front-line cover.
The final change between the replacements is the inclusion of Marco Jansen van Vuren as the utility backup option.
“The Sharks have been the fit team since the beginning of this year and they will look to outdo us. Durban is never an easy place to play and, coupled with the humidity, our job becomes much more difficult. However, we are confident in our style of play and we know exactly what we have to do on Saturday, ”White said.
The start is at 7 pm.
