Manchester United’s Paul Pogba shows his disappointment after the UEFA Champions League Group H stage match between RB Leipzig and Manchester United at Red Bull Arena on December 8, 2020 in Leipzig, Germany.

United manchester have drastically reduced the sale price of Paul pogba as they aim to move forward in the January transfer window.

A storm has been brewing at United since Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola claimed the midfielder’s career with the club was over.

In an extraordinary interview, Raiola claimed that Pogba is “unhappy” at United and that the club would have to sell him in either of the next two transfer windows.

The midfielder was the world’s most expensive player when United brought him in from Juventus in 2016. However, Pogba has suffered with inconsistencies ever since.

The Frenchman, whose contract expires in 2022, has started just five Premier League games this season, although he did score a wonderful goal as a starter in his last game against West Ham.

Raiola’s latest assertions have dealt a severe blow to any hope that Pogba can resurrect his United career and he will have done little to improve his relationship with the club.

The midfielder came off the bench Tuesday night against RB Leipzig as United left Europe. After the match, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer responded to Raiola with some truths at home about the midfielder.

The signs of how his agent’s actions have divided the club came to light in obvious ways. That’s when former teammates and experts Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes strongly disagreed on the best course of action on Pogba.

Now, according to The Sun, United is desperate to part ways with the midfielder in January.

The newspaper claims the Red Devils have lowered their asking price to ‘just £ 50 million’ in an attempt to find a buyer.

That is likely to tempt Juventus, which on Wednesday was tied to a potential trade deal.

That valuation will see United lose most of 40 million pounds of its original investment of 89.3 million pounds. However, given that the player’s contract expires in 2022, United does not believe that his form will improve significantly at that time to further improve. And with the clock ticking their future, they see that it is better to sell now.

Furthermore, the newspaper reports that United are desperate to get rid of Pogba’s troublesome agent, Raiola. Pogba’s sale in January could be seen as a bow to his agent’s demands.

However, United simply believes that now the club would be better off without the luggage that Pogba and his manager are bringing.
