Cape Town – A 12-year-old girl lies wounded in hospital and her father was killed by gangsters who launched shootings in Mitchells Plain on Sunday.

In the first of two shootings, the suspects opened fire on a home in Bering Close, Rocklands, and wounded a man in the arm before fleeing.

Community members chased down the shooters who ran in the direction of the innocent girl who was walking with her father and killed them.

The first victim, a 21-year-old girl, says the father and son were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The man, who admitted to Daily voice who is a gangster, explains: “I am an American gang member and this shooting was gang related.

“I was walking my dog ​​when three guys came up to me with their guns and shot me.

“I ran home and we chased the suspects. [The dad] and her daughter was beaten on the way to her mother’s house. “

The girl was beaten on the left side and is now in the Red Cross Children’s Hospital while her father died at the scene.

Colonel André Traut confirms the shooting: “Mitchells Plain police attended a report of a shooting at the corners of Park Avenue and Spine Road, Rocklands.

“The deceased, a 38-year-old man, was reportedly walking with his 12-year-old daughter when they were shot.

“The woman was injured in the left side and was rushed to the hospital.”

The police opened a murder and attempted murder case for investigation.

“No person has been arrested and the motive is related to gangs,” adds Traut.
