• The new Nissan Magnite will be available in early 2021, the Japanese automaker announced.
• Two transmission options include a five-speed. Continuously Variable Manual Transmission (CVT).
• There is only one engine available, a 1.0 liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 74kW and 160Nm.
Nissan confirmed that its compact Magnite crossover will be powered by a 998cc turbocharged engine to produce 74kW and 160Nm. Gearbox options include a five-speed manual and an X-Tronic CVT.
Other notable features include cruise control and a wider speed range, courtesy of its D-step logic control computer software that uses dynamic inputs such as vehicle speed, accelerator pedal position, and application speed to determine the ideal gear ratio.

Cleaner engine
The elastic accessory belt for the HRA0 1.0 turbo engine is made from a special material that allows it to run without a tensioner, reducing weight and friction, further improving fuel economy and reducing CO2 emissions. The compactly designed cylinder head, featuring an integrated exhaust manifold and plastic cover, provides improved engine gasket and reduces the number of passageways for better and faster catalyst heating, resulting in cleaner emissions.
