Durban – Mohammed Vahed Ebrahim has been found guilty of the premeditated murder of Miguel Louw.

The ruling was handed down in Durban High Court on Monday.

Ebrahim, 44, was convicted on charges of kidnapping, murder and robbery.

The spokeswoman for the National Prosecution Authority, Natasha Ramkisson-Kara, said the sentence was expected on Wednesday.

The fourth grader was last seen in Ebrahim’s presence at a restaurant near his home in July 2018.

His decomposed body was found in a shallow grave on Longbury Drive, Phoenix, near Ebrahim’s home.

The court heard that Ebrahim occasionally lived in Miguel’s home in Sydenham and did odd jobs around his home.

According to the state’s accusations before the incident, Ebrahim and Miguel’s mother had an argument.

“As a result, the defendant decided to kill the deceased to get revenge on the deceased’s mother.”

Ebrahim maintained his innocence throughout the process and has remained behind bars.
