Manchester United have been told to make the £ 100m rated Premier League star a priority in the next transfer window.
It seems more than likely that Manchester United will lose Paul Pogba in the transfer window next summer. For quite some time it seems that the Frenchman wants to leave Old Trafford with Real Madrid as his most likely destination.
Fortunately for the Red Devils, it appears the Frenchman is no longer a first-team player with Solskjaer. Therefore, his play would not do much damage to the team on the field. But he is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars of this team and, if he leaves, the board will have to make a box office move to cover his absence.
And if United end up making a big move next summer, Steve Nicol believes that man has to be Jack Grealish. As reported by Express, he told ESPN FC:
“I’m not going to say he’s a £ 100 million player, I don’t think it’s £ 100 million. But I think it’s certainly worth around the £ 60-65 million mark.
“Last year I questioned if he was a good player on a bad team and they held on, but what we see of him not just in an Aston Villa jersey but in an England jersey, this guy is actually a player.
“He’s great at keeping the ball, he almost slows down the game to the point where he’s the guy controlling it.
“Of course his goals and assists this season are out of this world. Last year he scored eight goals and six assists in 36 games, in nine games [this season] he has five goals and five assists.
“You talk about taking your game to another level, Jack Grealish has done it. Any Premier League team would be delighted to have Grealish on their team.
“Manchester United lacks consistency and they need players who are not only consistent but are consistent at a really high level that will take a club like United to where they think they belong, which is to fight for European leagues and titles.
“Jack Grealish can do that. I think that United is absolutely crying out for a Grealish, a guy to keep it up, to do his part on defense, we talk about Pogba, United can’t defend, Grealish does everything.

To be fair, Grealish has been absolutely sensational this season. The Aston Villa captain has scored 6 goals and assisted the same number in just 10 appearances. And it seems like it’s only a matter of time before the biggest teams in the world come to ask for their services.
However, the Red Devils will have trouble fitting it into their XI. Rashford plays on the left wing, where Grealish has mostly played this season. He is also capable of playing in the center but then that position is occupied by Bruno Fernandes. It will take some tactical adjustments for him to play with them, but he is too good a player not to take chances.
However, it will be interesting to see how much Aston Villa ends up demanding for him. There are rumors that the Premier League team is seeking around £ 100 million for its captain, but that could be too expensive even for a team with Manchester United’s financial muscle. Anything closer to £ 60-70 million and they shouldn’t think twice before bidding.
