DStv Diski Challenge
The Kaizer Chiefs reserve team will kick off their 2020-21 campaign with a trip to the Giant Stadium in Soshanguve north of Pretoria to face the Mamelodi Sundowns, in what is sure to be an entertaining and exciting start to the season for Amakhosi against the former champions. The match will start at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday 6thth December and will be broadcast live on DStv Channel 202.
The 2019-20 reserve league which was known as Multichoice Disk Challenge will now be known as DStv Diski Challenge and the league will be renamed with a new logo and new name, for the next campaign. PSL’s reserve league, which started about six years ago, was suspended mid-season during the 2019-20 season, Amakhosi will be looking to get off to a good start to the new season and will look to make a mark with a solid performance against the Sundowns. .
On the Chiefs’ bench in their first DStv Diski Challenge game will be first team assistant coaches Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard. Zwane, who has been in charge of the Chiefs ‘reserve team since 2016, will lead the line from the bench with the support of Sheppard, as well as another of the Chiefs’ junior managers, Tshidiso Letsholonyane. The Chiefs’ reserve team has provided a number of players to the Chiefs’ senior team with current first-team members Njabulo Blom, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Keletso Sifama, all previously in the campaign for the Chiefs’ reserve team.
