Kaizer bosses coach Gavin hunt may have to do without Ramahlwe Mphahlele for the club’s preliminary round, the return leg with PWD Bamenda on Friday.

The 30-year-old former Mamelodi Sundowns defender retired at halftime in the 1-0 first leg win with a hamstring injury.

As the club prepares to face Cameron’s team on the back of their trip back from the country last weekend, Hunt explained that his team will do light training this week, while waiting for news on the extent of the strike from Mphahlele.

KickOff reported that Hunt said: “We will not train hard before the next game on Friday, that’s for sure. We will do the recovery and just a little work on who, how and what.” [needs to be done].

“[We’ll see] which is available because it looks like we already have some issues with one or two players. I just hope it doesn’t affect our game [against Black Leopards] for the following week, which is a bigger concern at the moment.

“Rama is a big problem for us, he hurt his hamstring or whatever he has.

“The [Mphahlele] he has a hamstring strain and will be further evaluated Tuesday and Wednesday to determine the extent of the injury and his availability for the second leg. “
