JOHANNESBURG – The Umkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA) of the African National Congress (ANC) has warned Supreme Court Vice President Raymond Zondo that bringing legal charges against former President Zuma was reckless, reckless and dangerous.
In a statement following last week’s national executive committee meeting published on Monday, the association said that she and many other South Africans would not take well to Zuma being arrested.
Supreme Court Vice President Raymond Zondo, who chairs the commission, asked the commission secretary to file a criminal complaint against the former president.
The Zondo Commission is also seeking an order from the Constitutional Court to compel Zuma to appear before it.
The MKMVA, which is made up of faithful loyalists to Jacob Zuma, has put his issues back on the association’s agenda.
This time, he warned the vice president of the Supreme Court against his recent decisions to force Zuma to appear on the commission.
In a statement, the MKMVA makes a number of outlandish claims, including that Zondo was being influenced by powerful foreign NGOs, the media, and reactionary forces.
He described the filing of criminal charges as reckless and reckless, and warned that he would not allow Zuma to be arrested.
What could be read as a threat, the MKMVA said that if the commission continued along these lines, it would create a situation that neither the commission nor anyone else could control.
