Sean Connery’s cause of death has been revealed, one month after his passing.
The actor, best known for his role as James Bond in the franchise, died at the age of 90. The star died in his sleep after having “been indisposed” for some time.
Now, according to his death certificate obtained by TMZThe actor has been revealed to have died of atrial fibrillation, an irregular, often rapid heart rate that can cause poor blood flow, old age and pneumonia.
The documents indicate that the actor died on October 31 at 01:30 at his home in the Bahamas.
After his death, his wife, Micheline Roquebrune, also said the actor had been battling dementia.
“I was with him the whole time and he just ran away,” the 91-year-old said. “He had dementia and it took its toll. He got his dying wish to escape without a problem.
“It wasn’t a life for him. He couldn’t express himself later.”
