Here’s Chelsea’s morning recap for Monday, November 30.
Why Hudson-Odoi wasn’t on Chelsea’s squad for the Spurs clash
Callum Hudson-Odoi was Chelsea’s surprise omission of the matchday against Tottenham after a good weekday performance against Rennes in the Champions League.
The 20-year-old opened the scoring against the Ligue 1 team, but was omitted from the 18-man team against the Spurs due to Christian Pulisic’s return from injury.
The American international has struggled with a string of blows in the early stages of the season, but is considered one of the Blues’ most influential players.

Pulisic was finally substituted in the 74th minute of the 0-0 draw with the Spurs, replacing Timo Werner.
Hudson-Odoi hopes to appear when the Blues take on Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Lampard disagrees with Mourinho’s title
Frank Lampard has disagreed with his former coach José Mourinho when it comes to Tottenham’s title credentials.
The Portuguese dismissed claims that Spurs could be considered title favorites after their 0-0 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The result left Tottenham at the top of the Premier League table with 21 points along with Liverpool in second place. The Blues sit two points behind in third place.
Before the game, Mourinho was also quick to downplay Spurs’ title chances, adding that Chelsea should compete for first place. And that first statement is something Lampard disagrees with.
“It is José’s call to say it as he sees it from his end, but from the outside they are the best in the league, he is very close to the top,” he said.
“If we are contenders, then they have to be contenders. If you have Harry Kane and Son on your team, Son has nine goals, Harry has seven, they keep a clean sheet due to their team organization, they would expect to be in the team. race.
“They have invested a lot, they have people like Gareth Bale sitting on the bench, Dele Alli is not here. There is a strong team there. So I think we are all competing, but José can say it how he sees it.”

Oliver Harbord has given his players ratings since the goalless draw, and there are great scores for the defensive partnership of Kurt Zouma and Thiago Silva.
French midfielder N’Golo Kante also impressed, but there were less desirable marks for the summer signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.
These are the games where Lampard will look to players like Ziyech and Werner to make a difference, but the duo failed to deliver the much coveted breakthrough.
