Al Ahly football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz has reported on the persecution of the Reds of Gastón Sirino of Mamelodi Sundowns..
The Uruguayan forward has been linked to a signing by the Red Devils since last season, but rumors have intensified after Pitso Mosimane took over the club.

Sirino was one of Pitso’s favorite players at Sundowns and both the Reds leadership and the South African head coach are eager to bring him to Egypt.
Adding more fuel to the fire, the 29-year-old expressed his desire to leave Sundowns to join his former coach in African champion Al Ahly.
Speaking about the future of Sirino, Abdel-Hafiz said: “I do not have the final details on the negotiations with Sirino.
“The file is currently in the hands of the Head of Transfers, Amir Tawfik.
“It is possible to delay negotiations with him for one more period, this is very possible, and it is also possible that we will not sign him at all,” he added.
Following the arrival of Raja captain Badr Benoun, the Reds are now forced to let go of one of their foreign players, who could become two should they succeed in recruiting Sirino.
Geraldo and Aliou Badji are probably the two names that will leave the club next season, despite the Angolan’s participation in the Champions League final.
“Some of our foreign players are about to leave the club,” revealed Abdel-Hafiz.
“Badr Benoun and the new players will be in our team for the Ittihad of Alexandria match in the Egyptian Cup,” he concluded.
El Al Ahly had defeated second division team Abu Qir Fertilizers in the quarterfinals of the Egyptian Cup last week to advance to the next round.
