‘I want’; The president of the League openly wants the Liverpool man in Spain

La Liga president Javier Tebas wants a Liverpool player, in particular, to head to Spain. The Spaniard has his eyes on some of the Premier League.

Javier Tebas is not shy with the people he wants to practice in his league. The La Liga president selected several, in fact, from the Premier League and one from Serie A.

“I want [Lionel] Messi in La Liga, ”Tebas said, according to AS. “Just how I want [Jose] Mourinho, [Pep] Guardiola, [Jurgen] Klopp, Christian [Ronaldo].

“All of them would help us grow.”

Klopp stands out from the rest: he is the only one who has never worked in La Liga. Messi is already there, of course, while Guardiola spent 20 years there as a player and coach.

Later, Mourinho and Ronaldo had successful experiences with Real Madrid.

What does RTK have to say

It is nice to have a manager who is so appreciated that he made this list. But we’re not exactly worried, we’re not even sure where it would go.

Klopp is not really suited to Barcelona or Real Madrid and if we had to guess as his next job, we would say the German team. It feels like the only natural fit after Mainz, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool.

Not that Klopp is heading there anytime soon either. He recently dismissed rumors that it was happening.

And even then, Klopp has a contract until 2024 and there is little to no chance that he will leave before then. We can’t imagine Liverpool accepting the idea and we’re not sure Klopp will either.

So Thebes may dream of pulling Klopp out of Liverpool and into La Liga, but that’s all that will be left for the next three and a half years, at least.
