CAPE TOWN – A man accused of murdering his wife and children planned to flee the country.
Here’s what police say after he was arrested in King William’s Town on Thursday night.
Detectives will try to link him to the murder of his wife and five children in the town of Dabekweni in Kwaaiman on Tuesday.
On Tuesday night, police found the bodies of the woman and her five children at the family home. The father had fled.
An ax, found at the scene, has been identified as the murder weapon.
Police Tembinkosi Kinana said investigators were still investigating the motive.

Detectives believe the man was planning to skip the country to Zimbabwe.
They expect you at the pier on Monday.
