The self-proclaimed prophet said the leak of information about the issuance of arrest warrants showed that there was an agenda behind and said that the new warrants “were a series of injustices that he left in South Africa.”
“For the record, it is trivial that when an arrest warrant is issued, law enforcement agencies proceed to make the arrest; Do not leak information to the media as it has always been my case with these white policemen ”, read his statement.
Bushiri also questioned the Hawks’ jurisdiction in rape cases.
“I have been informed, advice I accept, that rape cases are not handled by Hawks, but by a SAPS designated unit known as Family Violence, Child Protection and Sex Crimes (FCS),” the statement said.
He regretted how the South African authorities failed to investigate the extortion allegations he made against the police officers who were assigned to his fraud cases. He also said that no action has been taken against the police officer. Instead, they were assigned to work on more cases that were opened against them.
Last week, the Independent Police Investigations Directorate (Ipid) criticized Bushiri for his scant cooperation due to his “busy schedule” in providing the leadership with crucial details about allegations of police corruption he made in 2018.
Ipid confirmed that in 2018 Bushiri’s attorney opened a case of alleged police corruption / cash extortion on his behalf in Sunnyside, Pretoria.
He said he is willing to clear his name, that he will not participate in a media spectacle created by white policemen bent on covering up their crimes.
