The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) are calling on a Brackenfell resident to return a beret he allegedly took during their protests outside Brackenfell High School.
The Party has been organizing protests there after reports that parents organized a matrix party attended by only white students. The community has insisted that the party was open to all.
Violence broke out between community members and EFF members, and the beret was taken amid the chaos.

Now the EFF is asking the man who allegedly took the beret to return it or the EFF will embark on a door-to-door campaign to find his “holy revolutionary beret.
“We further reiterate the call for the terrorist Johann Spies to return the EFF beret, or the EFF will carry out a door-to-door campaign in Brackenfell to reclaim our symbolic mark of resistance.”

In a statement, the party expressed its appreciation to its members who participated in a protest outside Brackenfell High School on Friday.
“In the face of deliberate attempts to undermine the EFF program, the Combatants remained disciplined and militant, and decisively faced all forms of provocation.
“It was clear from the start that you couldn’t have a genuine commitment to an arrogant police force that resolved that it would protect the interests of racists at all costs. Despite the presence of racist whites, who were armed around Brackenfell High School, it was black skin that was again an invitation to violence for the South African Police Services (SAPS).
Despite this, and countless stun grenades and rubber bullets unleashed on our members, the committed EFF forces refused to withdraw. For this defiant spirit in the face of a state that exists to protect a white minority, we congratulate our members, ”he said.
