Vodacom Bulls captain Duane Vermeulen has praised coach Jake White for forming a potentially dominant team at Loftus.
The Bulls are on the brink of winning their first Vodacom Super Rugby Unlocked title and their first silver medal since 2010.

Speaking at his team’s announcement press conference Thursday, Vermeulen said it’s special to see the Bulls again at the top of the pecking order in South African rugby, especially after the union’s long drought in silver terms.
“For us, we plan as much and as best as we can,” explained Vermeulen. “The most important thing for us is to play rugby well and win.
“This will probably be the first and last Super Rugby to be unlocked, so it’s something new and different. There will be a trophy and that will be good and positive because I think the last time the Bulls won something was 10 years ago.
However, the captain added that this current success could be the stepping stone to much more important things for the Bulls under White’s tutelage.
‘We look forward, [success] it’s about putting together the right team and I think so far Jake has the right group. From there, it’s just a matter of getting the basics right.
After this weekend, we can close this chapter, but there are many more left, our book is not finished yet. There is still a lot of work to do and a lot to look forward to. So it’s good to win, but next week we go straight to a new competition. There’s really no time to celebrate, you just have to leave it behind and move on to the next one. ‘
