MTN has launched an extended Black Friday Sale that will last for two weeks from November 20 to December 9, 2020.
The Black Friday sale will offer big savings for new and existing customers on prepaid, contract, business and mobile money (MoMo) products.
“Obviously this year is also different because it is a COVID-19 Black Friday,” MTN said.
“In addition to MTN wanting to provide more customers with more value over a longer period of time, MTN’s push towards # Remake2020 is also one of the main reasons why MTN has decided to extend its Black Friday deals and whenever possible, offer your offers exclusively online. “
The deals available through MTN’s two-week Black Friday sale are listed below.
Prepaid offers: 50GB for R199
MTN PayAsYouGo customers can purchase a MiFi router with 50GB of promotional data for a one-time price of R499.
Customers with their own existing PayAsYouGo routers can also get the 50GB data offer as a SIM-only deal for R199 one time.
This 50GB data package will be allocated as follows:
- 26GB one time – In the first month, includes 8 GB of data anytime, 8 GB of express night data and a 10 GB YouTube bundle
- 24 GB – 2 GB of recurring monthly data over a 12-month period.
These mobile broadband offers are for use only on PayAsYouGo routers, the company noted.
MTN will also offer special Black Friday deals on data, voice and bundled packages for PayAsYouGo customers. Customers can dial * 142 # and select “Black Friday” to view special offers.
Postpaid Offers: 1TB for R999pm
MTN said it would offer the following special offers on bundled data packages with Mi-Fi routers:
- 10GB – R99 x 24
- 50 GB – R199 x 24
- 100 GB – R299 x 24
The mobile network will also offer Mega Plan and Sky Plan promotional offers as part of its Black Friday sale.
The Mega Plan Promo offers customers voice and data, with an offer of 25GB plus 1,500 minutes available at R599 per month for 24 months, or R499 per month for 36 months.
The Sky Promo Plan, which is available exclusively online, will offer customers 60GB plus unlimited minutes, and is available for R799 per month for 24 months.
MTN also said that it would offer the following fixed broadband data deals to customers during the Black Friday period:
- 1TB 5G Home Data with Router – R999 x 36
- 1 TB Home Wi-Fi with Router – 999 x 24
- 400GB Home Wi-Fi with Router – R599 x 36
Business offerings and MoMo
MTN said it has great deals available for South African companies, including the following:
- 50 GB of data with a Huawei E5576 router, on the MTN Made for Business Data + XXL plan, for R199 per month for 24 months
- In a deal exclusively offered online, 100 GB of data with a Huawei E5576 router, on the MTN Made for Business Data plan + 100 GB for R299 per month for 24 months
- In a deal offered exclusively through the MTN call center, 10GB of data with a Huawei E5576 router, on the MTN Made for Business Data + M plan, for R99 per month for 24 months.
The company also offers MoMo subscribers deep discounts on daily and weekly data packages during the Black Friday sale.
