The vice president of the court, Raymond Zondo, said that former president Jacob Zuma had been subpoenaed to be in the investigation Monday through Friday, unless the vice president of the court had excused it.

JOHANNESBURG – Former President Jaco Zuma abandoned the state capture investigation without permission.
This comes as a result of Supreme Court Vice President Raymond Zondo dismissing the ex-president’s request for disqualification on the grounds that Zuma failed to meet the reasonable apprehension test of bias.

Zondo said that Zuma had been subpoenaed to be in the investigation Monday through Friday unless the vice president of the Supreme Court had excused him.

It is unclear whether the investigation will now pursue criminal charges against him for contempt of a subpoena.
Earlier, Zuma’s attorney, Muzi Sikhakhane, said they would take Zondo’s decision under review and would file a complaint with the Judicial Service Commission regarding the handling of the request for disqualification by Supreme Court Vice President Raymond Zondo.
