Bobby Brown Jr, the 28-year-old son of American singer Bobby Brown, was found dead in his California home Wednesday afternoon, USA Today reported.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, police responded to a medical emergency at 1:50 p.m. to find a deceased man, later identified as Brown Jr.
No further details were available on the cause of death, pending a forensic examination. But police say nothing was suspected.
Brown Jr was one of the seven children of Brown.
He appeared on the family’s short Bravo reality show in 2005, “Being Bobby Brown,” along with his half-sister Bobbi Kristina Brown.
Fox News reported that the other son of R&B icon Landon confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of his late brother with the caption, “I will love you forever King.”
The aspiring singer hoped to follow in his father’s footsteps and released his first musical single “Say Something” in September this year.
The death of Brown Jr. is another blow for Brown.
His ex-wife, megastar singer Whitney Houston died in 2012 when she was found unconscious in a Beverly Hills hotel bathroom. Officials ruled that the cause of his death was accidental drowning caused by heart disease and prolonged cocaine abuse.
Her daughter with Houston, Bobbi Kristina, was found face down and unconscious in the bathtub of her Georgia home three years later, nearly the week of January 31, 2015.
She died at age 22 in July 2015 and was buried with her mother in a New Jersey cemetery.
