South Africa’s new airline reveals what its planes will look like

South Africa’s newest airline, Lift, has announced a public survey to select the livery for its aircraft.

This follows the tremendous response to its name competition that resulted in more than 25,000 name suggestions and a total of eight winners with the Lift name, the airline said in a statement.

“We were overwhelmed by the public’s response to naming our airline.”

“We would like to continue to include the public in decisions about other components of the brand,” said Lift co-founder Gidon Novick.

Lift will initially operate three Airbus A320 jets, which are preparing for their maiden flight on December 10, just in time for the peak holiday season.

Cabin crew and ground crew will be outfitted by online fashion retailer Superbalist and travelers will enjoy a Vida e Caffè coffee on morning flights.

Afternoon flights will include a wine tasting from a selection of the best wineries in South Africa.

Currently, South Africans can book flights on the new airline in the official Web site.

Lift the livery survey

Lift said it has created a bold design and color palette, and would like the public’s help in choosing the best combination of these features.

“M&C Saatchi came up with a bold design and color palette,” said Lift.

“We would like help to find the most beautiful and impressive combination.”

You have created a survey for this purpose and it will be open until Monday, November 23.

There are two options to choose from, and South Africans can vote for option A or B in the Create Instagram account.
