Dylan frittelli led South Africa’s charge in 84th Teachers after finishing Sunday’s last round with an even par 72.
Frittelli finished 11 under par for the tournament and tied for fifth alongside Irishman Rory McIlroy. They were nine shots behind winner Dustin Johnson of the United States.
Louis Oosthuizen he was the next highest ranked South African, going two-under-par 70 on Sunday to finish tied for 23rd and five-under overall.
Charl schwartzel he shot a par 71 under par in his final round to finish four under par and tie for 25th.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout He also shot a 71 on Sunday to finish tied for 38th and a low for the tournament.
Justin harding failed the cut, while Erik van rooyen he retired after his first round.
