Peshawar Zalmi fans Wahab Riaz, Imam ul Haq and Shoaib Malik made funny jokes during a team meeting at the National Stadium in Karachi on Saturday night.

It was an exciting clash between the Zalmis and the Qalandars, with the latter achieving a thrilling late-game victory.

However, Mohammad Hafeez’s tackles weren’t the only highlight of the match. Ramiz Raja interrupted a team group consisting of Wahab, Malik and Imam. Needless to say, some hilarious jokes followed.

“Guys, what are you talking about? Can you hear us?” Ramiz asked as the three stars of Zalmi chatted.

“Yes, Ramiz bhai. We are trying to make sure that [Imam] he becomes a good goalkeeper, “Wahab replied, making Ramiz laugh.

Malik chimed in at that point with a witty comment.

“Do you know the catch that soared into the air, Ramiz bhai? I told him to take off his [wicketkeeping] gloves and take it [with his bare hands]Malik screeched.

“I didn’t have time to do that. At that moment, the ball went down [for the catch]”said the Imam.

“Guys tell me. Can’t you take a break, Hafeez?” Ramiz asked, referring to the Qalandars hitter who had gone to take a bathroom break.

“These things are very necessary for him, Ramiz bhai,” Wahab said, eliciting another round of hysterical laughter from the commentator as the camera turned to Hafeez, who was seen running back to take his place in the fold.

Hafeez wins it for the Qalandars

Lahore Qalandars had beaten Peshawar Zalmi by five wickets in Eliminator 1 of the 2020 PSL.

The best innings of Mohammad Hafeez’s career at PSL were pivotal in a chase of Lahore Qalandars that at one point was on the brink of collapse with Lahore 33-3.

Hafeez formed a crucial partnership with Ben Dunk, then Samit Patel and finally David Wiese, but most importantly, he stayed until the end to make sure his team made it home.

He finished with a 74 of 46 balls.

With the victory, the Qalandars stay alive and will face the Multan Sultans for a place in the final against the Karachi Kings.

Zalmi, for his part, was eliminated from the tournament with the defeat.
