The marriage of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip has only survived all these years because they turned a blind eye to each other’s mistakes.
According to royal experts, there was a time when Philip left the queen fighting for her life alone during an extremely painful 30-hour job.
The Duke of Edinburgh despised the monarch so much that he preferred playing squash to being with her during the stressful time.
Royal commentator Roberto Fiorito revealed that the queen struggled through the pain of childbirth, by delivering Prince Charles, alone in a renovated room at Buckingham Palace.
“The Prince of Wales arrived by caesarean section in a delivery that took place in the Music Room of Buckingham Palace, which was converted into a mini hospital for the occasion,” said Fiorito.
“Queen Elizabeth was in labor for 30 hours with Carlos and Prince Felipe played squash with his private secretary during that time,” he added.
Fiorito mentioned that accompanying his wife during labor was not a thing at the time.
“It is not an excavation, that is obviously very common, the men were not present for the deliveries at that time, it was not a thing.
“But when Philip got the good news, he ran upstairs to meet his son and remarked that he looked like a plum pudding as he gave his wife red roses and carnations. So crazy and sweet, it was a big deal,” the expert continued.
