The reports were fed by broadcaster Christian Martin, who tweeted: “Our sources in Manchester and Portugal confirm that Manchester United tempted Cristiano Ronaldo with a return to the club for next season. The Portuguese analyzes it. Juventus would negotiate it if he asks for it ”.
Naturally, it made United fans lose their minds at the prospect of Ronaldo returning to Old Trafford.
But is it really going to happen?
Well, Juventus are reportedly looking to balance their books and ditching the 35-year-old certainly would.
If they can make it work financially, United would surely seize the opportunity to bring Ronaldo home, despite his advanced years.

Martin says Ronaldo is tempted by the move to Manchester United because he thinks Messi is going to sign for Manchester City from Barcelona next summer.
Ronaldo believes Messi will sign a two- or three-year contract at the Etihad when his contract with Barça expires at the end of the season. The prospect of rekindling their rivalry in Manchester and the Premier League is incredibly tempting for Ronaldo.
