Many Vodacom users had problems connecting on Friday.
“Vodacom is aware of an issue affecting data connectivity to some of its customers in various regions. Our technicians are working hard to resolve the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, ”a spokesperson told Business Insider.

The Downdector website, which monitors problems with service providers, saw a flood of complaints from Vodacom users starting at 1pm on Friday, reports Netwerk24.
Vodacom users in most of the major centers – Johannesburg, Pretoria, Centurion, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Potchefstroom, Bloemfontein and Mbombela – have complained about the network.
Vodacom has some 40 million users in South Africa.
