A royal biographer has revealed that Meghan Markle made up her famous nickname Markle Sparkle when the Duchess of Sussex was a teenager.

Sean Smith, in his book ‘Meghan Misundersknown’, shed light on how the “Suit” actress coined a nickname for herself at summer drama camp.

“Meghan was one of 13 or 14 teenagers, along with a group of tweens and a group of young children,” she wrote.

The biographer added: “Another girl was known as Meg, so Meghan adopted her own special jingle: ‘Meghan Markle with a Sparkle’ and everyone called her that.”

According to the Daily Express, Prince Harry’s wife was regularly mentioned by the media for having the ‘Markle Sparkle’ effect when she started dating the Duke of Sussex.

Meghan and Harry currently live in the United States after separating from the royal family.

After resigning from their roles as royalty, the couple signed a multi-million dollar deal with Netflix under which they would reportedly make documentaries.

They have also ruffled the feathers in the UK with their recent remarks on the US elections.
