Mesut Ozil chooses side in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Vs Toni Kroos Row

Mesut Ozil has strongly supported aside in the strange online discussion between Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Toni Kroos.

“Aubameyang celebrated once and took off a mask,” Kroos said on the podcast ‘Einfach Bad Luppen’ he hosts. “That’s where it ends with me. I don’t think I’m a good role model either. How silly.”

The Gabonese Arsenal forward replied and asked: ‘By the way, does this Toni Kroos have kids? Just to remember that I did it for my son [a] few times and I will do it again. “

Kroos responded on Twitter saying: “THIS Toni Kroos has three children …”, prompting Auba to sign his following message: “Congratulations on your 3 children, cordially Batman and Robin.”

So far so strange. But naturally, Ozil couldn’t let him get between his current Arsenal teammate and his former international colleague from Germany.

The 32-year-old tweeted a GIF of Aubameyang celebrating in a Black Panther mask after a goal against Rennes as he saluted ‘Wakanda forever’ with the message: “Best goal celebration!”

Aubameyang responded with, “My brother, you know” and the classic punch. So clearly, while all is not well between the Arsenal hierarchy and Ozil, the man left out of this season’s Premier League squad, the midfielder and the Gunners captain are clearly still on the same page.

As for Kroos, there is history between him and Ozil, as the Real Madrid star did not support Ozil in his 2018 international retirement. Ozil felt that some people in Germany were using him as a scapegoat for his Turkish origin, which Kroos described it as “nonsense”.

“Mesut is a deserved international and as a player he deserved a better start,” Kroos told the Bild newspaper at the time. “But the way he quit was not in order.”

So maybe the unrest between Ozil and Kroos still lingers. Or maybe Ozil loves superhero celebrations and people in crazy masks; after all, he has been a huge Gunnersaurus supporter in his turbulent year at Arsenal.

Who knows where this completely insane feud will go, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see Gunnersaurus chime in with his own opinions. Unless Kroos decides if you can’t beat them, join them and don a full Iron Man suit the next time you score.
