Ruhan Nel will start on the wing in one of five changes to the Stormers’ lineup to face the Cheetahs in Newlands on Saturday.
Nel, who returned from an injury from the bench last weekend, replaces injured Edwill van der Merwe on the right wing in the only injury-forced substitution from the side that beat Griquas at Kimberley.
The other four changes are all rotating, as Herschel Jantjies returns to start at scrum half after being left out last week for compassionate reasons.
In the forward group, block Salmaan Moerat, prop Frans Malherbe and hooker Scarra Ntubeni return to the starting lineup after being among the replacements last week.
There are two potential Stormers rookies on the Sazi Sandi prop and utility runner Kade Wolhuter on the extended bench.
Stormers coach John Dobson said that after three weeks on the road, his team is determined to make the most of his return home this weekend.
“It is fantastic to be back in Newlands, although we will still miss our fans deeply and we would like to build on our performance last week at Kimberley.
“We are focused on providing an accurate visualization in what will be our last game in a Stormers jersey in Newlands this year,” he said.
