Prince Charles was devastated after Kate Middleton’s pregnancy got complicated

Kate Middleton experienced a rare condition during the time she was pregnant with her first child, Prince George, and the worsening of the Duchess’s condition caused her father-in-law, Prince Charles, to panic.

It is a well known fact that the Duchess of Cambridge suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, an acute form of morning sickness, which is incredibly rare in women, while waiting for George.

Kate’s condition worsened and she was transferred to King Edward VII Hospital in London, where she sought treatment for a few days.

This happened a few days after Buckingham Palace announced that Kate and William were expecting their first child.

Shortly after the announcement, just hours before Kate was rushed to the hospital, Charles made a public statement expressing his feelings for becoming a grandfather.

The Prince of Wales said: “I’m excited, wonderful. It’s a very nice idea from Grandma in my old age, if I may say so, so it’s splendid.”

He added: “I am very happy that my daughter-in-law is improving, thank God.”

To keep things under control, the royal family did not want the press to know that Kate was pregnant and was seeking hospital treatment before they announced it themselves.

Therefore, Charles and the rest of the royalty made a hasty announcement.

Ingrid Seward, Editor-in-Chief of Majesty The magazine said: “Well, they didn’t want to let him out because he’s probably still at the 10 week mark, but they knew that once Kate was seen walking into the hospital … it was going to be out of their hands and then the the media would have control of the ad. “
