Zimbabwean socialite and businessman Genius Kadungure, commonly known as “Ginimbi”, died instantly in a freak car accident in the early hours of Sunday.
Three other people, including a model and a fitness trainer, were also killed in the accident.
The 36-year-old man was driving his R5m Rolls-Royce Wraith that collided head-on with three other vehicles.
The speedy Rolls-Royce spun off the road and crashed into a tree before going up in flames, according to a witness.
Danny Kuwanga told police that with the help of three unidentified men, Ginimbi’s body was removed from the burning car, but three passengers were trapped and consumed by the flames.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the death.
“The Republic of Zimbabwe Police would like to confirm the deaths of four people including Genius Kadungure in a fatal traffic accident on Borrowdale Road.
“Three people were burned when the vehicle caught fire after colliding head-on with a Honda Fit as the driver passed another car near Philadelphia,” said Assistant Commissioner Police Spokesman Paul Nyathi.
Two of the burned were identified as Alicia Adams, model and physical trainer, Michelle “Moana” Amuli.
