Liverpool could have a big boost on Sunday.

The Premier League champions continue to defend their title at Manchester City.

And although Jurgen Klopp will not have a great player like Virgil van Dijk, Pep Guardiola could also be missing a great name.

According to the City coach, Sergio Agüero will not participate in the visit to Liverpool.

The 32-year-old has missed the last three Citizens games with a hamstring injury and Pep says tomorrow’s clash comes too early for the Argentine.

But some Liverpool fans on Twitter refuse to believe the Spaniard, suggesting that the former Barcelona manager might be trying to play a bit here.

If he’s still injured, it should be seen as great good news for Liverpool.

We are talking about a forward who has scored 180 goals in 265 Premier League appearances.

With Van Dijk out, Pep would love to unleash Aguero against the likes of Joe Gomez and a rusty Joel Matip, who has recently been sidelined but looks like he’s not quite ready.
