A ranking of the best bars in the world for 2020 has named three South African pubs as part of its expanded list of the 100 best.
The list of the best bars is compiled from the votes of more than 540 experts from around the world, including drink writers, bartenders and cocktail fans.
The vote was based on visits made from January 2019 to March 2020. Normally, the voting period spans 18 months, but the coronavirus pandemic, which forced most establishments to close after March, shortened the period of evaluation.
