Apparently a matriculation student was stabbed to death.

- A 21-year-old 12th grader was allegedly stabbed to death outside a tavern in Marapong, outside of Lephalale in Limpopo, on Thursday night.
- Police say the suspects accused him of stealing a cell phone.
- It is alleged that the two suspects also ran over their father with his motor vehicle.
Police arrested two suspects on charges of murdering a tuition student in front of a local tavern and then allegedly running past his father with his motor vehicle in Marapong, outside of Lephalale in Polokwane, on Thursday night.
The 21-year-old Tielelo High School 12-year-old was stabbed to death hours after writing his first exam.
According to the police, the deceased was with his cousin when he was confronted by the suspects, both 29 years old, who allegedly accused him of stealing a cell phone.
“An argument ensued and they began to fight when one of the suspects hit the deceased’s cousin with a hard object and the cousin ran away leaving the deceased behind,” police spokesman Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said in a statement.
Sharp instrument
“The suspects continued to attack the student and also stabbed him with a sharp instrument throughout the body.”
Ngoepe said the student allegedly tried to flee in the direction of his home, which was not far from the scene, but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving home.
“Later, the father of the deceased went out to investigate the incident and the suspects ran him over with a motor vehicle before they fled the scene,” added Ngoepe.
Both men were arrested shortly after the incident on Thursday night and will appear in Lephalale Magistrates Court on Monday.
They have been charged with murder, attempted murder and assault with the intent to cause serious bodily harm.
