MultiChoice has released a free version of Showmax that allows viewers to stream a wide variety of shows without paying a monthly fee.
Called “Showmax Free”, this functionality is available in the latest version of the Showmax mobile app for Android and iOS.
It is also available online through Showmax website.
On all these platforms, Showmax Free will present users with periodic advertisements as they watch.
“Showmax Free gives you the opportunity to see our great entertainment offering at no cost and without compromise,” the company said.
He added that Showmax Free presents a selection of series, movies and more, local and international with advertising.
“The downloads are not available, but you can view them online at any time and on any screen. No registration or billing information is required. “
If users want to remove the ads, they will need to sign up for one of Showmax’s paid plans.

Users can open the Showmax app, tap the “more” menu icon, and enable the option that says “Browse our free ad-supported content catalog.”
You will then be automatically redirected to the home screen where you can start watching free programs.
Currently, Showmax’s free content catalog includes a wide selection of local shows, and HBO’s top international titles are conspicuously absent.

Content can also include live sports matches and highlights when available, Showmax said.
