1,712 new COVID-19 cases recorded in South Africa, 46 more people die
The Health Department said 1,712 new infections had also been detected, bringing the number of known cases here in their homeland to more than 730,000.

JOHANNESBURG – Forty-six more people have died here in South Africa after contracting the coronavirus, bringing the national death toll to 19,585.
The Health Department said 1,712 new infections had also been detected, bringing the number of known cases here in their homeland to more than 730,000.
The recovery rate is stable at 90%, with 680,000 people having recovered so far.
As of today, the number of # COVID-19 cases is 730,548 with 1,712 new cases identified. The cumulative number of tests performed to date is 4,893,683 with 25,073 new tests performed since the last report.
