WASHINGTON – US President Donald Trump alleged Wednesday that there had been “surprise ballot dumps” in the states where he had led Democrat Joe Biden in the White House race.
“Last night he was leading, often solidly, in many key states, in almost all cases controlled and led by Democrats,” Trump tweeted.
“Then one by one, they began to magically disappear as the surprise dumps were counted.”
Trump offered no evidence for his “ballot” allegation and there have been no reports of wrongdoing.

The tracks in numerous states have shifted back and forth between candidates as votes are counted.
Trump, who prematurely declared himself the winner of Tuesday’s election, has spent months denouncing mail-in ballots, making unsubstantiated claims that they are susceptible to fraud.
“How is it that every time you count the landfills by mail they are so devastating in their percentage and power of destruction?” tweeted on Wednesday.
Mail-in ballot use skyrocketed in this election amid the coronavirus pandemic and the US Elections Project said a record 65.2 million Americans voted by mail.
