  • Katlego Maboe was seen outside a Cape Town court on Tuesday.
  • One case involving an alleged breach of a protection order did not advance.
  • The file has not been brought to court and a new date has not yet been set.

The case against television presenter Katlego Maboe, brought by her ex-partner, Monique Muller, did not proceed Tuesday after the file was not brought to court.

Maboe arrived at Cape Town Magistrates Court on Tuesday, where he was expected to appear for allegedly violating the stipulations of a protection order Muller obtained on September 3 at Sea Point Police Station.

However, according to the spokesman for the National Tax Authority, Eric Ntabazalila, the scheduled appearance before the court did not take place.

“When the prosecutor saw an article about the complaints made, she contacted the police and asked about the appearance in court,” said Ntabazalila.

“She [the prosecutor] he was given today’s date for the court appearance. “

File

Ntabazalila said the file was not brought to court that morning. Since then, the prosecutor has requested the file to study it thoroughly.

Ntabazalila said no date had been set for the appearance so far.

Maboe’s private life has come to the fore after a video surfaced on social media last month, showing Maboe being confronted by Muller for infidelity and the host confessing to cheating.

Allegations of abuse have also been leveled at the presenter, an accusation he has denied.

Maboe, 34, has been retired for the television show, Quick, as well as the announcements presented by the insurance company Outsurance, pending an investigation into their conduct.
