ARLINGTON – On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump tried to cast doubt on the ballot count beyond Election Day, saying the country had a “right” to know who won on voting day.
“You have to have a date, and the date is November 3,” he said during a visit to the Republican National Committee offices in Arlington, Virginia.
“And we should have the right to know who won on November 3.”

Earlier, Trump said he was feeling good about his chances of victory when it opened on Election Day in the United States on Tuesday, predicting he would record big wins in key states like Florida and Arizona.
“We feel great,” Trump rasped to Fox News in a telephone interview.
Trump said he expected victory in all the key states that will decide the elections, but said he would not “play games” by declaring his victory too soon.
“We think we are winning a lot in Texas. We think we are winning a lot in Florida. We think we are winning in Arizona big time,” he said.
“I think we will do very well in North Carolina. I think we will do well in Pennsylvania. We think we are doing very well everywhere.”

Lagging behind in most opinion polls, Trump hit Democratic opponent Joe Biden, the “biased” media and the “extreme” left by repeating his argument for re-election for four more years in the White House.
“Joe Biden is not prime time,” he said.
Trump called it “terrible” and “dangerous” that millions of votes mailed are still not counted Wednesday.
But he played down accusations that he planned to declare victory prematurely Tuesday night before enough is counted to determine the winner.
“I think we will have victory, but only when there is victory,” he said.
“There is no reason to play.”
