New WhatsApp functions that are implemented in Android and iOS

WhatsApp has released new beta updates for the iOS and Android versions of its messaging app. WABetaInfo reports.

According to the report, the latest WhatsApp beta update released for iOS through the TestFlight beta program includes advanced wallpaper setting tools.

These options allow you to customize the in-app wallpaper that is displayed behind chats in various ways.

This functionality can be accessed by navigating to the “Group or contact information” menu and selecting “Wallpaper and sound”.

From this interface, you can select a new wallpaper to apply to the chat in question and change its opacity.

There are 32 new bright wallpapers, 30 new dark wallpapers, and a number of solid color options to choose from.

Legacy wallpapers are available in the Wallpaper File folder on the customization screen.

New stickers for Android

WhatsApp has also launched a new beta update for android version of your messaging app, which includes two new sticker packs.

These sticker packs are named Cutie Pets and Tonton Friends, the first one includes static stickers and the second one offers animated stickers.

Those running the latest beta version of the app can access them through the WhatsApp Sticker Store.

WhatsApp has also implemented these stickers in its Sticker Store for iOS and Business.

Please note that all of the features listed above are currently available in a beta stage, although the report indicated that wallpaper customization will be available to all users within a week.
